Welcome back, and this week, we've got some more Swordfall after dark. If you are completely lost as to what is going on here, check out Tales of Swordfall, a Dungeons and Dragons actual play podcast. Yours truly stars as Kraka-Tur, the Air Genasi Barbarian over there. It's good fun, and it is only getting better as we play more together.
Anyway, if you're all caught up, then you may notice that in Episode VI, Taz (played by the talented and oh so delightful Lucy (Bluebirddraws) is MIA this episode as she had to step out and do, oh I don't know, her day job. We are crashing at her apartment, and she has to pay rent somehow. Lucy was ever so gracious to share a letter Taz wrote to her sister. Enjoy!
Without any further ado, the letter:
"To my dearest Elaina,
I hope this letter finds you well. I miss you fiercely. I’ve been in Swordfall for a few weeks now, and already I feel the pull to leave. I plan to visit home soon. I want to see you, it’s been far too long.
Have you heard from Morrison? I haven’t, but if he was to write to anyone, it would be you. I haven’t heard from any of you in weeks. I know I’m difficult to contact, but I have the feeling that I will linger in Swordfall for a while yet. That, or I shall return to it. Write me; I’ll receive it eventually.
I’ve learned so much traveling. Elladora was right, as she always is. I can feel you worrying for me from here, though. Relax, love. I’m fine. I have a some new friends watching my back and a safe, semi-permanent place to stay, now.
Please write me, sister, I miss you. It’s been years since I’ve seen your face or heard you voice and I plan to remedy that soon, but in the meantime just knowing that you are safe would go a long way in easing my mind.
You are as you always have been; my truest north, the brightest star in the sky. I will find my way home to you, I promise.
All of my love, your ever loyal little sister,
Taz"
It serves as a nice snippet into Taz's background. If you've been watching, you probably have picked up that her family is very important to her. We'll see if that comes to play in the story anymore. Episode 6 for Swordfall's Blue Group is coming out at this moment. Tales of Swordfall has two different adventuring groups romping in the same homebrew setting. Come check it out!
Until next time
Happy gaming,
Mr. Puddins
